| Following irrepressible support from friends, fans and the media, both print and broadcast, this website has been upgraded to include a press kit with all the information that redresses Ramadu. This will give everyone the much-needed understanding of this successful artist who hails from Zimbabwe. The road has been bumpy with stumbling blocks but the support from different corners has been more than a match to the challenges. We hope the information contained herein shall be very useful in filling in the gap that existed in the past, and revive interest among fans and friends. At a time when the world is going through a strong information and telecommunication revolution, the role of communication is unquestionable. It is however sad to note that there seems to be an information gap between the developed and developing world. |
We from the developing world have not been effective in expressing in ways that are completely ours. The developing world, particularly Southern Africa, have not effectively managed to have their voice heard, albeit on issues that affect them more than anyone else. Ramadu attempts, and has successfully done so, to use music as a strong voice of the African world over and a true mirror of our society. This music creates a true representation of the society that Ramadu is from. We hope you will find this information useful and join in this endeavor to revive our tradition at the same time adhering to the modern world of music. We encourage you to encourage us on how you think we can improve in the journey that began in 1990 with Ramadu joining Insingizi. |
